no more wall-owing

When you live in an apartment where painting isn’t an option you rely on art to brighten up your space. Posters are  inexpensive and easy to find, but lack texture. Tea towels are a simple solution to add both texture and interest while staying within your budget.

You can keep it very casual and pin it directly to your wall, or use a frame. If your towel has been folded in a drawer at your cottage for who-knows-how-long, it may need to be ironed. I am hesitant to touch my iron to this one, since it is hand printed linen.

Cost: Free courtesy of my grandmother

  1. Try ironing it through a towel. The heat will be much less aggressive to the fabric, and will still get rid of the creases. Just be patient- low heat, and slow but constant ironing.
